Continuing Medical Education\ Continuing Professional Development (CME\CPD ) consists of educational activities which serve to maintain, develop, and increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public, or the profession. The content of CME\CPD is the body of knowledge and skills generally recognized and accepted by the profession as within the basic medical sciences, the discipline of clinical medicine, and the provision of health care to the public.
A broad definition of CME\CPD, such as the one found above, recognizes that all continuing educational and professional development activities whom assist physicians and health professionals in carrying out their professional responsibilities more effectively and efficiently are CME\CPD.
Not all continuing educational and professional development activities which physicians and health professionals may engage in however are CME\CPD. They may participate in worthwhile activities which are not related directly to their professional work and these activities are not CME\CPD. Continuing educational and professional development activities which respond to a physician’s and health specialists’ non-professional educational needs or interests such as; personal financial planning or appreciation of literature or music, are not CME\CPD.
Credit from is granted on per-activity basis (usually 1 credit per completed activity). In order to earn credits, you must be a registered user of cmeorg.test, answer all the questions for a particular activity, and then submit the quiz answers for credit.
Once you have submitted the answers of the activity quiz for credit and pass, you will be able to print your certificate online for all local accredited programs.
And for international accredited programs a single certificate with credit points will be issued every six months. Also you may request for Additional individual Certificate (By Activity or topic), all international certificates will be send by mail to your address.
Once you have completed and submitted a specific CME\CPD activity, your test score will be displayed in your profile CME\CPD tracker.

The Maximum Number of Hours that can be accredited by the Saudi commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) are as follow:
- Physicians\Dentists – Max. 10 CME\CPD Hrs. per Year
- Pharmacists – Max. 7 CME\CPD Hrs. per Year
- Nurses, Technicians and other Applied Health Professionals – Max. 5 CME\CPD Hrs. per Year

After answering all of the test questions and hitting the Submit button at the bottom of the Course Details page, you will be able to print your certificate on line if you pass the test (Local Accreditation only), you can also print your certificate at any time by logging into your account and to the CME\CPD tracker.

Participants should read the self-study material, and then go to the quiz. Leaving the quiz partway through will cause the user to lose his/her answers. After completing the quiz, the user will be provided with his score in the quiz.
